Dubai Shopping Festival (32nd edition)

Trade Arabia reported on 14 October 2026 that the festival returns for its 32nd edition from 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027, 45 days of shopping promotions, live entertainment, concerts and citywide experiences. Earlier guides had given tentative or different dates; use the October report, and confirm on Dubai's official tourism channels, which publish the full programme as it is released.

For most visitors the real value is timing rather than a single discount: three-and-a-half weeks of promotions overlap National Day, Christmas, New Year's Eve and the peak of Dubai's tourist season. That also makes it the most expensive period for flights and hotels, so book early and compare the total cost of the trip, not just the discount at the till.

The best days for shopping itself are weekday mornings. Weekend evenings in the large malls are crowded through the festival, and taxi queues are long. Many malls and venues run their own programmes of entertainment and competitions, which are announced separately.

It also overlaps Global Village's busiest weeks, so expect both to be crowded on weekend evenings.

If you are choosing where to spend time, the large malls and the district venues each run their own calendars, and Global Village and the beachfront areas add fireworks and shows on set nights. Check the official festival site once the programme is published for the nights that matter to you, such as National Day and New Year's Eve.

For a calmer visit, plan the mornings for shopping and the evenings for one event rather than a mall crawl. The week after New Year is typically quieter than the weeks before it.
