Who is behind it
UAE Experiences is published by Sparkling Sandset, a private desert camp and events company at Al Khatim, Abu Dhabi, operating since 2012. We built the guide because the questions we are asked every week, when to come, what is open, what is worth the drive, deserve better answers than a list of ticket links. Where a page suggests a private version with us, it says so, and it appears after the information, not instead of it.
Where dates come from
Every date on the calendar is the organiser's own or comes from an official tourism release (for example the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi or the Dubai Media Office), and each page lists its sources. We label them:
- Dates confirmed: published by the organiser or an official release.
- Dates announced: reported by a reliable outlet, with the programme still to come, or reported by one outlet only.
- Dates expected: depends on something that has not happened yet, such as a moon sighting.
The calendar was last checked on 19 October 2026. Past events drop off the upcoming lists automatically.
Prices and hours
We quote a price only where an outlet reported it, and we name the outlet. Where figures disagree we say so and send you to the organiser. Hours and ticket rules change by season, so treat anything printed here as a guide and confirm on the operator's own page before you travel.
Independence
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or paid by the events and attractions we list. We do not sell tickets to them. The links to official sites are there so you can book with the people who run them.
Photographs
Where we do not have our own picture, we use freely licensed photographs from Wikimedia Commons, credited on the page that shows them with the photographer and licence. Pictures of the camp are our own.
Corrections
If a date, a fact or a photograph is wrong, tell us at sparklingsandset@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +971 55 320 7631. We correct errors the same day where we can and update the “last checked” date when we do.
